My 4-year-old figured out the letter matching on her own within a day, and I love that each pair shows the letter in both upper and lower case so she's learning both at once. The wooden pieces are sturdy enough to survive her little brother tossing them around.
The wooden pieces are sturdy and the upper/lower case matching is a nice touch for my 4-year-old. Only issue is the box lid doesn't stay on well, so we just keep them in a zip pouch instead.
The self-correcting mechanism is a nice idea, but the pieces fit so tightly that my child gets frustrated trying to separate them. The letter illustrations are clear and cute though, so it's okay.
