My 6-year-old sat quietly for almost an hour layering the felt shapes into different creatures, which never happens. The four play scenes give her a reason to keep going instead of just sticking pieces on a page.
The little storage case keeps all the felt pieces from ending up under the couch, which is a win for me. My daughter sat through two whole play scenes without asking for a screen. The layering is simple enough that she figured it out on her own.
My niece spent a solid hour layering the felt shapes into different creatures before sticking them onto the four play scenes. The pieces cling well without sliding around, though a few tiny eyes took some careful peeling to reposition. Kept her busy on a long car ride, which is worth every penny.
