My 2-year-old figured out how to snap the zebra together on her own within a day, which surprised me since she usually just knocks towers down. The solid wood has a nice weight to it and no splinters so far, even after a few tumbles onto the tile.
The wooden pieces are chunkier than I expected, which is perfect for my 2-year-old's small hands. He's been building a "zoo" on the living room floor for an hour, and the zebra actually stands up without tipping over.
Our toddler loves snapping the wooden pieces together to make a zebra—the blocks fit snugly but are easy enough for small hands to handle.
