Match, stack, and play with four adorable wooden chunky safari animal play pieces! The Melissa & Doug Animal Matching Play Set includes a double-sided elephant, lion, giraffe, and zebra. Match the pieces to outlines in a sturdy wooden crate, which also has full-color art on the back – stand it up for a pretend play backdrop! The wooden play set is a great way for toddlers and preschoolers, 2 years and older, to hone their fine-motor, problem-solving, and matching skills, and is a fun and engaging way to practice counting, color and animal identification, and narrative play. Pieces stow neatly in the crate for easy clean up.

Penelope O. ★★★★★

My toddler loves flipping the elephant and lion to see the other animal on the other side—it’s become her favorite quiet-time activity. The pieces are solid and have held up well to being thrown around and chewed on, which says a lot.

Ruby ★★★★★

The pieces are chunky enough for my two-year-old’s grip, and the double-sided design means we can flip them for a quick matching game. The lion and zebra have held up well to daily tossing around, no chips or paint wear yet.

Brian ★★★★★

My toddler's favorite part is flipping the elephant to see the other animal, and the chunky pieces are easy for her to grab and stack on her own. She mixes the safari animals all over the floor and it keeps her busy for a good chunk of the morning.
