Bought this for a 6-hour flight and my daughter barely looked up the whole time. The hidden patterns that show up as you color kept her going back through every page, and the markers didn't bleed through the velvet at all.
The velvet backgrounds make the markers look way brighter than regular coloring books, and my daughter got excited every time a hidden pattern showed up. The six markers are a nice size for little hands too. Kept her busy through a whole restaurant dinner.
Bought this for a 4-hour flight and my 7-year-old barely looked up once. The six markers glide right over the flocked pages and the hidden patterns that appear are a nice surprise. Kept her busy the whole trip, which is worth every penny.
