The hook and chain latches keep my little one busy for a good ten minutes while I actually get breakfast on the table. The wood feels sturdy, and the brass plating hasn't scratched even after a week of rough play. She loves figuring out the toggle clamp on her own.
My daughter checks every latch on this board before bed—it's become our little ritual. The brass-plated hook and toggle clamp feel sturdy enough that I don't worry about them snapping, and the chain keeps her busy exploring different motions each time.
The chain latch took my son a few days to figure out, but now he opens and closes all six brass latches on his own. It’s sturdy enough that I don’t worry about it breaking, and the castle theme keeps him coming back to it.
