My daughter has claimed this as her reading buddy and it's the perfect height for her to lean against on the couch. The legs are long enough that it sits upright on its own instead of flopping over.
Four feet of giraffe is a lot of giraffe, and honestly the size is what makes it. It stands up on its own next to my son's bed and the legs are sturdy enough that he drags it around the house without it flopping over.
My niece has claimed this thing as her official reading buddy, and honestly I get it — the legs are long enough that she can drape them over the couch arm. It's big enough to feel like a real presence in the room without being a hassle to move around.
