The pieces are chunky enough that my toddler can grip them without getting frustrated, and the hippo in the watering hole is her favorite to snap in. We've done it maybe ten times this week and the wood still looks brand new.
My 4-year-old can actually finish this on her own, which is rare for her. The hippo in the watering hole is her favorite piece, and she hunts for it every time we tip the puzzle out.
