I grabbed these for my kindergarten classroom and the magnetic backing actually holds well on our whiteboard, even with kids slapping them on. Having five math signs in the set means we use them for simple addition during centers, and the wooden case keeps all 37 pieces from scattering everywhere.
My four-year-old has been using these to practice simple addition, and the five math signs make it easy to set up little equations for him. The wooden case keeps all 37 pieces together instead of scattered across the floor.
The magnetic pieces are surprisingly strong and stay put on our fridge, which my kindergartner loves for practicing addition. The wooden case keeps everything tidy, and having enough numbers to count past ten is a huge plus.
