The pip matching is clear enough that my three-year-old can find the right ends without help, though I do need to sit close to keep the tiles from going everywhere. It's the first board game they actually sit through to the end, which says a lot.

We’ve been playing this with our four-year-old every night since it arrived, and the colorful pips make it easy for him to count dots without losing focus. The pieces are sturdy enough to survive being knocked over mid-game, which happens a lot. It’s a classic done right for little hands.

The pips are big and bright enough that my three-year-old can spot matches instantly without help, which is exactly what we needed to start playing as a family. We're already on our second game tonight and the rule of "first to play all their dominoes wins" is simple enough that even I’m having fun.
